Symptom

You have leased a domain name elsewhere, but would like to assign it to your Bitpalace web space.

Solution

We don’t really know why people would want to buy an expensive domain name in a complicated procedure from a third-party vendor and manage that domain name by themselves, but if you want to waive the low prices and simple order and maintenance of Bitpalace domain names: Your choice! You can assign externally leased domain names to every Bitpalace web space. To your Bitpalace ValueWebspace you can assign up to four domain names. To your Bitpalace Business Booster you can assign an unlimited number of externally purchased domain names.

Simply click on the “Add domain” button in your customer control panel, enter the domain name and click “OK”. This way you tell your web server to react on the external domain if a request comes in. Afterwards enter the IP address of your Bitpalace web space into the A and MX records of your external name server, so that the domain name is pointing to your Bitpalace web space.
